    Description

This mask comes from my personal collection, I have collected Native American art since the 1970's.  This mask has been in my possession since 1993 when I purchased it directly from Lisa Ray.  The mask is covered in white leather with twisted white leather fringe ending with shells.   A white skull (don't know what it is) is mounted at the top of the mask and various feathers are attached at the very top.
    ABOUT LISA RAY, ALGONQUIN SHAWNEE
A resident of Spokane, Washington, Lisa Ray is an artist who creates masks using materials including feathers, fur, rawhide, beads and other objects to depict items from her native Algonquin Shawnee heritage. She specializes in quill and beadwork as well as the preparation of furs, skulls and skins.
In her work, Lisa Ray reflects her own Native American Heritage and has also studied the traditions of other North American Tribes over the past 15 years.
